For people who already run a shop
Shop, stock, and till.One system.
You are the buyer. You already know the mess: the website says twelve, the till says nine, the spreadsheet says maybe. This is the system we built so those numbers are the same — including a restaurant floor when the business is tables and takeaway, not just parcels. MacG is the store we run on it — proof that it ships, not the name of the software.
The problem
Three products. Three numbers. One tired owner.
A hosted shop, a counter till, and an inventory app each look reasonable on a pricing page. Together they still do not share a brain. You reconcile. A customer waits. Purchasing guesses. Then someone takes a platform cut on top of the card fee you already pay.
You do not need another dashboard. You need one on-hand figure that moves when a unit sells online or at the desk.
The plan
Shop, stock, and till — in that order, in one tenant.
- 01
Shop
Sell from one catalog
The website, the desk, and a pay-by-link all pull the same products, prices, and on-hand figure. Variants, member prices, and a Google Shopping feed sit on that catalog — not in another login.
- 02
Stock
Count what you actually have
Scan a delivery. Photograph a supplier invoice. Stock take with a USB scanner or the phone camera. Purchasing, GRV, and weighted cost land in the same place the shop sells from.
- 03
Till
Take the money, finish the order
Cards and wallets on the website. A staff Android phone that is the terminal. A link for a set amount. Bank transfer and on-account. The order updates. You are not reconciling three dashboards.
Customers
Phone orders and the usual
Vitamins, food, anything they ring in for. Same till and catalog — not a second CRM.
- 01
Phone on the order
Guest checkout still uses email. The phone is stored on that order too, so a later call can find it without inventing a fake address.
- 02
Look up, then move it
Staff search email or phone. A guest order can be assigned onto a real login. Two accounts merge only when someone confirms they are the same person — a shared household number is not enough.
- 03
The usual
Copy last order into the cart while acting as them. Repeat / scheduled orders stay as they are.
- 04
Quiet win-back
A list of people who used to order more often. Mail is off until you turn it on, and only if they subscribed.
Restaurant
Tables, kitchen, and takeaway — under your name
White-label: your domain, your brand, your Stripe. NZD or AUD is a Settings switch — Australian GST presets to 10%, New Zealand to 15%. Shop, cart, receipts, and card charges follow.
- 01
Guest checkout
Name, email, and phone. No account wall. The order still lands in the kitchen and on the till.
- 02
Cart that is honest about tax
Sticky total with GST included as its own line. Promo codes and threshold deals (spend $60, free garlic bread) apply in the cart.
- 03
Pickup, table, or delivery
Click & collect and pay-in-store are per tenant. Table service is a floor of its own: waitron, patron QR, several kitchen rounds, then cheque. Local delivery is optional.
- 04
Kitchen that actually sees it
Online and table orders mirror into a live kitchen queue with table labels. Staff print a GST docket. Confirmation shows the order number and ETA — branded as your restaurant, not a third-party widget.
Guest checkout. GST on the cart. Promos and threshold deals. Pickup and click & collect. Table rounds with waitron and patron QR. Kitchen board. Stripe named at checkout. Your tenant, not a widget on a grey page.

We run a store on this. You can walk it.
MacG TechnoloG is a real shop in New Zealand — cables, audio, the unglamorous catalog that has to scan and sell. It is not a fictional demo brand. It is also not the name of what you would buy. You would get your own tenant: your name, your domain, the same engine. NZ or Australia — local currency is a setting, not a rebuild.

The phone is the till.
Google does not let just any APK take contactless payments. Tap to Pay on Android has to ship from Play, with Stripe Terminal behind it. Ours does: listed for staff, not as a consumer wallet.
Google Play and the Google Play logo are trademarks of Google LLC. Stripe is a trademark of Stripe, Inc. Shown only to identify services this system uses — not as an endorsement.
- Cards on the website
- Stripe Checkout. Apple Pay and Google Pay named at checkout — guest checkout, no account required. Pay online is Stripe, not a vague button at the end.
- Tap to Pay on Android
- Staff phone becomes the terminal. Amounts come from the till; Stripe handles the card. Listed on Google Play as MacG Payment Terminal.
- Pay-by-link
- Send a link for a specific order total, or a one-off price. They pay; stock and the invoice stay in the same system.
- Bank transfer & on account
- NZ account details on the order. Approved customers get statements — not a third-party debtor app.
- In the store
- Click & collect QR at the desk. Cash for staff checkout. Coinbase Commerce if you want it.
Stock
Load products without a spreadsheet war
The same catalog flow the live store uses. Sound on if you want the clicks; it loops quietly if you leave it muted.
- 01
Scan it in
Receiving and stock take take a USB scanner or the phone camera. Unknown barcodes can become a product on the spot.
- 02
Photograph the invoice
Upload or snap a supplier PDF. Lines match to your catalog by barcode and name, then receive against a PO.
- 03
Purchasing that closes
Suppliers, locations, purchase orders, GRV, weighted average cost, and sell-price markup when goods land.
- 04
Know what you have
Stock summary, item history, and projection from on-hand + open POs + future sales — not a spreadsheet beside the shop.
What the equivalent stack usually costs
Tick what you would buy as separate products. This is software — and an optional extra platform cut — not card fees, which you pay either way. Guide figures for the piecemeal stack only. What we charge is quoted after we see volume, locations, and how you sell.
Used only if you tick the extra platform cut some hosted shops add on top of your card processor.

Quoted after we see the floor
Catalog size, locations, and how you sell — then a monthly and setup. No extra cut on Stripe.
An order-page app and a till-plus-kitchen are different jobs. We quote once you have walked the live store — enquire below.
Figures on the left are typical NZ-market list prices for a hosted shop, a counter till, a purchasing product, and add-ons — not a quote from any vendor. Card processing sits on top of both sides.
Three steps. Then you own the tenant.
- 01
See it running
Walk the live store. Watch stock load. Open the Play listing if you care about the phone as a till.
- 02
Tell us what you sell
How many SKUs, staff, locations. We name a plan and a setup figure. No invoice until that is agreed.
- 03
Your name on the door
NZ or AU tenant. Your domain. Your Stripe account — we do not take a cut on top of Stripe. Local currency (NZD or AUD) is a Settings switch; GST and card charges follow.
Enquire
Tell us a bit about the shop and the volume. We use that to quote — there isn’t a one-price list. No invoice until we agree scope.
