Two audit questions, live: the prescribed (clinical) dose stays fixed when the dispenser changes product, and when one dose is split over two strengths. NZePS doseAndRate is the prescribed dose, not the tablet strength.
1. Hospital dose, GP product
Chart says 1 g. You only have 500 mg tablets.
Clinical dose stays 1000 mg per administration.

2. Split over two lines
Prescribed 6 mg. Stock is 4 mg and 2 mg.
Both lines keep 6 mg as the prescribed dose.
Take ONE 4 mg tablet with ONE 2 mg tablet (total 6 mg) once daily
7 × 4 mg (4 mg of the dose)
7 × 2 mg (2 mg of the dose)
NZePS: 6 mg per dose, given as ONE 4 mg tablet plus ONE 2 mg tablet
